Inclusive Livelihood Initiatives by DEC Nepal in partnerships
1. Video Documentary: The Inclusive Livelihood for Persons with Disabilities Program, implemented by DEC Nepal in partnership with CBM, aimed to empower persons with disabilities by enhancing their economic independence through agriculture and poultry-based enterprises. Based on a comprehensive needs assessment, the program identified key livelihood opportunities suited to the local context and individual capabilities of participants. The initiative provided skills training, technical support, and access to resources, ensuring that persons with disabilities could engage in sustainable agro-based businesses, including vegetable farming, livestock rearing, and poultry farming. Additionally, the program facilitated market linkages and financial inclusion, enabling participants to expand their businesses and improve their socio-economic well-being. Through this initiative, DEC Nepal and CBM promoted inclusive economic development, proving that with the right support, persons with disabilities can thrive as independent entrepreneurs and active contributors to their communities.
