Mission
Fighting to end the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and disability.
Goal
To empower persons with disabilities and other marginalized communities in Nepal by advocating for their rights, providing access to education and opportunities, and breaking the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and disability through sustainable interventions and community engagement.
Objectives
Rights and Advocacy:
-Promote and secure the rights of persons with disabilities within local communities in Nepal.
-Raise awareness, build the capacity of Persons with Disabilities and advocate for their rehabilitation and dignified living standards.
-Facilitate participation and ensure easy access for Persons with Disabilities in policy formulation and implementation.
-Reserve specific space for Persons with Disabilities in information and communication sectors
-Collaborate with other organizations to address the needs of Persons with Disabilities.
-Cooperate with likeminded I/NGOs and development partners for support and experience sharing.
Social Inclusion and Empowerment:
-Create an inclusive environment where persons with disabilities can live with dignity, respect, and equality.
-Ensure equal access to national resources and opportunities for Persons with Disabilities.
-Address the needs of marginalized communities, including Dalits, women, and other vulnerable groups.
Education, Health, and Rehabilitation:
-Support marginalized children and adolescents with disabilities in enrolling and regularly attending school, especially those who have dropped out or never attended, for both education and sports.
-Implement WASH and health activities along with education, sports, entertainment, health, and art activities that promote the rights of Persons with Disabilties.
-Enhance institutional and technical capacities at various levels to provide quality reading instruction and support for children with disabilities.
